Tomato Uttapam A south Indian flavor!



Tomatoes contain a lot of vitamins A and C Because of high amounts of lycopene, a substance found in many of the more expensive over-the-counter facial cleansers, tomatoes are great for skin care. Tomatoes have a fair amount of vitamin K, low in calorie and calcium, both of which help to strengthen and possibly repair in minor ways bones and bone tissue.

Ingredients -

  • Idly /dosa batter -  5 cups
  • Turmeric powder - A pinch
  • Tomato -  2 no(finely chopped)
  • Green chillies – 1 no(chopped)
  • 4 tsp oil

How to make –

  • For preparing tomato uttapam, first take the batter in a bowl
  • Add all the ingredients and mix well
  • In a tawa, spread the mixture with ladle in a round shape like uttapam.
  • Pour oil on sides and cook for 2 minute
