How to perform:
  • Spread your legs while sitting on the floor with your back straight (not hunched over). The right leg goes to the right and the left to the left. Spread your legs as far as you can comfortably.
  • Lift your right arm up, lengthen the spine and lean down towards the left leg.
  • Try to grab the ball points of the toes with your right hand as shown in the fig..
  • Try to look up or in front in this pose and touch the opposite leg thighs with left hand.
  • If the whole pose is not possible, try to go with your body limits. 
  • Push the back of the knees down to straighten the legs more when you are down. 
Benefits:
  • The seated straddle split will elongate your hamstrings and stretch the sides of the waist. 
  • It boosts your blood circulation in the pelvic region.
  • Make your butt firm and tone up the inner thighs.
Do not perform:
  •    With ankle,knee or lower back injury.
