Moong Dal  Cheela

Moong dal cheela is a great way of adding proteins in the form of moong dal on your breakfast table. Because of being easily digested it can helps reduce weight. It helps to maintain folic acid in our body.

Palak Moong Dal Cheela

Servings 4


Green gram dal 1 cup

Urad dal 1 cup

2 cup spinach chopped

Methi 2 tsp

Onion  -4

Cumin seeds  2 tsp

Fennel seeds (saunf) 1tsp

3 Green chillies finely chopped

Turmeric 1tsp

4 tsp oil

Salt to taste

4 tbsp curd to serve


How to Prepare –

  • Soak moong and urad dal overnight . Blend both dal in a mixer and remove.
  • Make sure the batter must be semi liquid. After that heat oil in pan and add cumin seeds ,fennel seeds, onion. Sauté till onion gets brown in color. Add this mixture to the batter and mix well
  • Add green chillies, turmeric and salt into the batter and mix again
  • After that heat the tawa, put some oil into it and pour 1 full  ladder batter into it and spread it around the tawa put some oil around it.
  • Once the chilla is cooked flip it to the other side to cook it wel put some oil ,if required .
  • Similarily make all the chillas from the batter
  • Remove the chillas from the batter and serve it with curd .
