Navratri Special Low Cal Makhana Veg
Ingredients: Serves – 4 no.
 
4 tomatoes
1 Tsp Grated Ginger
1 Green Chilies (Cut)
2 tbsp of coriander powder
1 tbsp of cumin powder (roasted)
1 tbsp of garam masala
1 tbsp of cumin seeds (jeera)
Cup green peas
A bowl of makhana pieces
1 tbsp of oil
 
Method:
 
Grind the tomatoes, ginger and chilies together in a grinder.
Heat oil in a pan.
Add cumin seeds once the oil is hot.
Add tomato puree as the seeds make crackling sound.
After one boil add cup green peas.
Mix the mixture until it gets dark red in color and then you can add in other spices and salts.
Now add makhana pieces to this mixture and cook for 5 minutes.
You can cook more or less as per the gravy you want. The longer you cook, the thicker the gravy.
Dish is ready! Serve hot and add coriander leaves for decoration
