Exercise Regime During Navratri :
Yoga is thought to be energizing, invigorating and relaxing all at the same time, making it the perfect way to exercise during fasting and still maintain your fitness. Avoid straining yourself but at the same time enjoy your fitness by engaging yourself in physical activities like stretching exercises of yoga  and moderate walk.
 
How to perform:
  • Stand with feet shoulder width apart, knees slightly bent, abs tight, hip bones parallel to the floor.
  • (Inhale) Stretch your right arm over your head creating an arch as you (exhale) bend & stretch to your left.
  • Hold for 30 seconds. Concentrate on relaxing into the stretch every time you exhale. You should feel this stretch from your wrists all the way to your hips.
  • Gently release and repeat on the opposite side. To be practiced 3-3 times on both sides.

Do not perform:

  • In case of acute cervical.
