Cucumber Beetroot Raita


Cucumbers are the best source of vitamins and minerals. It nourishes the skin and maintain skin moisture. Cucumber aids in weight loss and digestion. This may cure diabetes, controls blood pressure and reduces cholesterol. Similarly, beetroot is known as master detoxifier. it reduces the toxic contents of our body.


Servings 4 


1 small beetroot 

2 medium cucumber

2 cups skimmed milk yoghurt or curd 

1 tsp roasted cumin seed powder  

½ tsp red chilli powder 

1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves finely chopped 

Sal to taste 


Method –

  • Boil, peel and grate beetroot and cucumber. Chill in the refrigerator.
  • Add roasted cumin powder, red chilli, powder, fresh coriander leaves. 
  • Add chilled beetroot and mix gently. 
  • Serve chilled.
